Cavalier Symphony Orchestra is proud to present its Spring 2025 Concert –The Wanderer’s Tale!
Join us as we follow the hero’s journey of the Wanderer in a thrilling musical experience. Our ensembles have prepared an exciting repertoire, including:
Flying Theme (from E.T.), John Williams
Waltz from the Masquerade Suite, Aram Khachaturian
Finlandia, Jean Sibelius
A Town with an Ocean View (from Kiki’s Delivery Service), Joe Hisaishi
Symphony No. 3 Mvmt 3, Johannes Brahms
Pictures at an Exhibition: Baba Yaga & the Great Gate of Kiev, Modest Mussorgsky (arr Ravel)
Our intrepid hero will fight evil and restore peace to the land as we score his journey through film and classical music!
This semester, CSO established its Scholarship Fund to support under-resourced musicians in Albemarle County Schools. Proceeds from this concert, as well as fundraising events throughout the semester, will sponsor instruments, music, and other resources to support musicians at Albemarle High School. Although admission to the concert is pay-as-you-want, our concert tickets are usually $10.
